We all had to start somewhere! But if you already have the desire and wonder if you should take a chance at learning Newborn Photography and posing, you can start here! I teach Newborn Photography and posing from my studio which is located in Daleville, Virginia, just north of downtown Roanoke. I have been a newborn photography since 2009. We will cover many different aspects of newborn photography such as studio set up, preparing props, and informing new parents about what to expect on the day of their baby’s photography session. You will learn how to prepare baby for each pose whether it is on the posing bean bag, posing table or prop container. We will also go into the art of watching for baby’s cues, when and how to soothe baby, change positions, or hand over to mom for a feeding! We will be working with live newborn models and I will take you through each newborn session. You will soon have a good idea of how you might want to create your own studio and work area.
1:1 Workshops means just you and me for the whole day. We will have two newborn models, hands on posing, questions and answers, and camera operation with Bosh lighting equipment. We will take a quick lunch break and finish up with our newborn models and questions. The cost is $1200 for the day. Deposit is $400 to be paid two weeks before our meeting day. List of hotels is available. Arrive at Roanoke Airport.
2:1 sessions are $900 for each participant. Deposit is $300 for each participant and is non-refundable.
Please indicate which time frame and month you are interested in. It is a great idea to do the 2:1 sessions with another photog friend.
My first group workshop will be on in 2025 depending on interest and availability.
